There’s nothing quite like stepping back in time for a day of adventure, and that’s exactly what some of our members did this spring at the Renaissance Faire in Newmarket! Hosted by Goblets & Goblins, this event brought together fans of fantasy, history, and handmade craftsmanship for a weekend full of magic, music, and merriment.
Our group gathered in their finest medieval and fantasy-inspired looks — from flowing gowns and corsets to flower crowns and fae wings — and fully embraced the spirit of the faire. The beautiful wooded setting, paired with live entertainment and artisan booths, made for the perfect backdrop to show off our creativity and connect with other faire-goers.
As always, our community welcomed a mix of costumes and skill levels. Whether it was a handmade dress, a carefully curated look from thrift finds, or a detailed fantasy build, everyone brought their own personal flair. It was a fantastic reminder that cosplay and costuming are all about participation and joy, no matter your budget or background.
A Gathering to Remember 🌿
We spent the day exploring vendor stalls, cheering on sword fights, and snapping plenty of photos (like the one below!) to capture the fun. Thank you to everyone who came out to make the day so special — it was a wonderful way to kick off the spring season, and we can’t wait to do it again.
If you’re curious about future local meetups or want to join in on the fun, be sure to follow us for updates. See you at the next adventure!
